Everything you need to know about navigating Sonia online
Q. How do I log in?
A.
Please ensure you are following the below steps (for students).
• You are choosing the correct discipline on the Sonia
landing page
• You are choosing your role as “Student” from the pulldown menu
• Your username is just the 8 digits of your student ID (you should not be using an email address)
• Your password is the same as you use for other Murdoch systems (eg. email and MyInfo)
• You have tried changing your Murdoch student login
password
Q. I’ve forgotten my password, how do I reset it?
A.
Students and staff can reset their MAIS password
here
. Businesses, organisations, schools and contact persons can reset their password
here
.
Q. Where do I find completed forms?
A.
All complete forms can be found under the “Forms Tab” in Sonia. Make sure you have unticked the check box that says “Hide Completed Forms” in the top right corner of the page to view all forms.
Q. I have just updated my details in MyInfo, why isn’t this reflected in the form I am filling out?
A.
It can take up to 24 hours for these changes to update in Sonia. If you check back the following day your details in Sonia should be updated. Please note the form may not display your updated information as entered in MyInfo.
Q. I have just submitted my clearances, why can’t I see my placement yet?
A.
Once you have submitted all required checks it can take up to 5 business days for them to be cleared. Once all mandatory checks have been completed, if you have been allocated you will be able to view your placement details. WIL staff are unable to disclose details about your placement until all mandatory checks have been cleared. You can contact the clearances team at
clearances@murdoch.edu.au

Sonia Online doesn't support Internet Explorer 7. If you are using a newer version of IE, press F12 on your keyboard and change the Document Mode to the latest standard.
